Did you know that you were created to in a relationship with God Himself?
There a place deep within you that can only be filled by Him. Nothing or no one else can fill that spot! You hear God’s voice by communicating with Him. Sometimes you’ll talk with God aloud, and sometimes you’ll speak with Him in your mind. Sometimes you’ll hear God as you open yourself by studying His Word—the Bible.
Sometimes you’ll hear God’s voice through a song or in nature.
We will never be fulfilled if we don't put Him first. He offers us power, but we have to seek intimacy with Him to access that power, and it takes time.
The more you know about Him the more you will hear Him.
Learn His attributes and what He did for us all.
Talk to Him
Have a conversation with God as you would with a friend. No special words or prayers are needed.
Be truthful and don't hold back. You can't be half-hearted— He knows.
Study the Bible for yourself. God will never contradict or manipulate for human purposes anything in the Bible.
Surround yourselves with people who have been hearing from God. Learn from them.
You will begin to understand things that didn't make sense to you before, and that will increase your desire to know more!
Priscilla Shirer refers to 'God’s Mercy of Confirmation'— Sometimes, external circumstances seem to confirm what God is showing you in prayer and study of God's Word. You will sense things lining up and understand the hand of God moving things into place, almost like He is nodding, “Yes.” God is speaking to your heart and mind. He is reassuring you.
